He’s been a leader in the Workers’ Comp industry since 1984 where he started out as an attorney and then went on to create renowned specialty publication WorkCompCentral. Upon hearing the words “workers’ comp”, many people ‘s thoughts trail to a space of negativity, but DePaolo has been on a mission to show the importance and benefits of the system.

Here at LegalNet, we love to stay up-to-date with industry happenings and meet with the best and brightest. Last month, we attended the incredible RIMS Conference in San Diego, CA. To keep the momentum moving, we stopped by our local RIMS Golden Gate chapter meeting in San Francisco, CA.
Our agenda is to discuss the innovations and strategies that are shaping the future of our insurance industry. This includes the impact of drones, autopilot cars, smart homes, big data, and my favorite buzz term of the year, “internet of things”. Every time I hear this word I picture an Ethernet cable plugged into a little box that says “e-widgets”.
From April 10th – April 13th, 2016, we will be at RIMS’16 in San Diego, CA. This conference is held by the Risk Management Society and it brings together over 5,000 industry professionals to network and learn about advancing the practice of risk management.
